Why choose Scented Sand?

Vessel choice tips:

Recycle your old glass and ceramic candle jars!
Heat resistant tempered glass can withstand high temperatures without shattering making it an ideal vessel choice. Thin or recycled glass is not recommended.
Oven safe ceramic is suitable.
Wood is not recommended, as it can easily burn or char when exposed to high temperatures. If you choose to use a wooden vessel please ensure it is under supervision at all times.
Cylindrical shapes work best!
Always read the instructions provided to ensure safe wick placement into your chosen vessel

Tips for the wicks:

1. Don't leave long wicks.

Ensure 0.5cm of the wick is sticking out of the wax sand, just enough to light it, if not the wick will burn down too quickly.

2. Leave enough room.

To prevent the melt pool from reaching the edge of the container make sure there is a minimum of 4cm of wax sand around the wick.

3. Cut to size (if required)

You can cut the wicks to the desired height, depending on your container depth. We recommend that you keep at least 2-3cm of sand under the wick, allowing the wick to self-extinguish before it reaches the container.
